Redbridge Welcome Center
Located on a prominent junction in Ilford, our proposal provides a new state-of-the-art facility housing drop-in, drug, alcohol, counselling, vocational and life-skills training facilities in a spectacular bright airy building arranged around a new courtyard garden.
The Welcome Centre, drug and alcohol units, training rooms and drop-in are located in a dramatic double height space at ground and 1st floor level. Residential accommodation is in 10 en-suite rooms at 2nd and 3rd floor.
Spaces are flooded with light from fully glazed facades and all rooms have uninterrupted views of the garden.
Both trustees of the project and the Local Authority are keen that it should be developed to offer improved training facilities together with medium-term residential accommodation to compliment the services already provided. The existing building is nearing the end of its useful life.
